A rescued silver fox peers out of its enclosure. If Old Poor Farm isn't the best landing spot for an animal, they'll look for another rescue or sanctuary.

The Old Poor Farm, located at 1777 County Road 23 near Nickerson, Nebraska, is open from May 1 to Oct. 31.

Hours are noon to 5, Wednesday through Sunday

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for older kids, younger children are free. Group tours are free.
