Backers of Pinnacle Bank Arena saw it as a potential catalyst for future development in the West and South Haymarket areas. Their vision has come to fruition over the past decade, as hotels, hundreds of apartment and condo units, and retail and office space have sprung up, mostly to the south of the arena along Canopy Street.
