'Traditional with a twist': Couple has redone Country Club home from top to bottom

Skinner bedroom

The Skinners turned this part of their bedroom into a walk-in closet and bath.

New tiling in the main bathroom and shower. The pattern is an historical reproduction.

The entryway, complete with a tin ceiling. The walls were textured and a glaze added over the paint.

Elizabeth saw a similar archway in New Orleans and had it reproduced in the main bathroom.

The main bathroom used to be part of the bedroom.

The newly added main closet.

The sunroom light fixture is from the Skinner's old house. "It was my favorite thing about the Parker Street house," Elizabeth said. "I had to bring it with me."

The back patio and yard.

Elizabeth calls her style traditional with a twist, so she added a more contemporary chandelier to the antiques in the dining room.

The paint in this room is called "Black Swan" by Sherwin Williams. "It's a chameleon of a color. It ranges from a dark deep plum to a black, depending on the light," Elizabeth said.
