Backers of Pinnacle Bank Arena saw it as a potential catalyst for future development in the West and South Haymarket areas. Their vision has come to fruition over the past decade, as hotels, hundreds of apartment and condo units, and retail and office space have sprung up, mostly to the south of the arena along Canopy Street.

Construction work

Many of the construction workers who worked on the Pinnacle Bank Arena have moved on to other work. Reports indicate about 60 percent of area construction workers were from Lincoln, and another 32 percent from elsewhere in the state.
