Meyer joins The Catholic Foundation after three years of service in the insurance industry. Bryan Diabetes Center earns recertification

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) announced successful recertification of the Bryan Diabetes Center through the Education Recognition Program. Bryan has been a recognized ADA program since 2000. There are 21 sites across Nebraska affiliated with the Bryan Diabetes Center.

This certification assures educational services meet the national standards. It also assures programs have knowledgeable health professionals who provide patients with comprehensive information about diabetes management.

Faltin named Assurity vice president, CFO and treasurer

Assurity Life Insurance Company has named Kevin Faltin vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer effective Jan. 1, 2020. He succeeds Marv Ehly, who will retire following a 38-year career in the insurance industry. Ehly has served as Assurity’s vice president, CFO and treasurer since 2001.

Lincoln Community Foundation grants over $1 million

The Woodlands awarded highest rank in national study

The Woodlands at Hillcrest, an assisted living and memory care senior community and managed by Life Care Services, an LCS Company, announced that its management company ranked highest in customer satisfaction in the J.D. Power 2019 U.S. Senior Living Study.

Lincoln Industries Vice President of Business Development Brandon Rigoni has announced the appointment of John Bauer to the position of national sales manager. In his previous role, Bauer served as the Nebraska commercial sales manager for Lincoln Industries.

Dr. Linsey Haden receives honorary degree

Linsey Dawn Haden, DO, FAAFP, a family physician in Lincoln, Neb., has achieved the Degree of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the national medical association representing nearly 134,600 family physicians, residents and medical students. Alpha Media-Lincoln Julie Gade retires

“When you do something since 1977 it’s both exciting and terrifying when it’s time to walk away,” said Julie Gade during her last week as Alpha Media Lincoln general manager. Gade retired on October 1 after a very rewarding career in broadcasting, achieving the Silver Medal Award issued by the American Advertising Federation recognizing men and women who have made outstanding contributions to the advertising industry as well as becoming the Nebraska Broadcasters Association first woman chair.
