In 2015, Nebraska led the nation in resettling more refugees per capita than any other state, according to Pew Research Center data. But in the past two years, the state has seen the number of resettlements plummet because of a nationwide reduction enacted by President Donald Trump's administration. Today is the second day of a series exploring the economic impact of local refugees as employees and entrepreneurs and examining how a severe resettlement cap could affect local refugee communities and the city of Lincoln going forward. Sunday's story took a closer look at the development of local refugee communities. Today, we focus on refugees in the workforce and their addition to Lincoln's diversity.
