Angela Dietsch, an assistant professor of special education and communication disorders at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, said her interest in researching dysphagia stems from a desire to help people regain the ability to safely eat, or to help patients hold onto as much ability as possible for as long as possible. She conducted dysphagia research at Walter Reed with wounded soldiers before coming to UNL.
