One of the downfalls of living in a landlocked state is the inability to dine on fresh seafood anytime. Still, some quality seafood can be had. Share your favorite seafood dish in Lincoln in a Facebook post or message or email yourpics@journalstar.com.
1. Venue
1. Venue, 4111 Pioneer Woods Drive -- The dinner menu includes five entrees, including customer favorite “three by the sea” (salmon, scallops and shrimp).

2. Carmela’s Bistro & Wine Bar
2. Carmela’s Bistro & Wine Bar, 4141 Pioneer Woods Drive -- Venue's east Lincoln neighbor is one of the few places where I can get my favorite seafood dish: sea bass. It’s one of seven seafood entrees available on Carmela’s dinner menu.

3. Blue Sushi Sake Grill
3. Blue Sushi Sake Grill, 808 R St. -- Actually, you can’t go wrong with any of Lincoln’s sushi restaurants. I’ve found myself at Hiro 88 just as often as Blue, but Blue is by far the hippest.

4. Dish
4. Dish, 1100 O St. -- The downtown restaurant is my go-to place for scallops, with the staff always doing something creative with them.

5. Red Lobster
5. Red Lobster, 6540 O St. -- If you want lobster, this is the place to go. If you want consistency, this, too, is the place to go. It’s the only restaurant in Lincoln dedicated solely to seafood.

Fish and chips: Lazlo's
Lazlo’s, 201 N. Seventh St. and 5900 Old Cheney Road -- I like to pair the brew pub’s “brewery battered fish” entree with Empyrean Ales’ Collapsar Oatmeal Stout.

Fish and chips: Terry's Steakhouse in Virginia
Terry’s Steakhouse, Virginia -- On Friday nights, the steakhouse in this small town east of Beatrice offers all-you-can-eat hand-breaded pollock fillets to go along with a grilled halibut steak special. It’s worth the drive.
