3rd-annual Tecmo tourney set for Saturday

Former Nebraska football player Danny Noonan, who played on the Dallas Cowboys when Tecmo Super Bowl was released in 1991, has been invited to the Lincoln Tecmo tourney by organizer Matt Knobbe, who also gave him a print of the above video game still.

Former Nebraska football player Danny Noonan played nose tackle on the Dallas Cowboys when "Tecmo Super Bowl" was released in 1991. The game developers gave him some pretty middling ratings, but his position on the field allows gamers to control him to dive suddenly at the pixels that make up a QB's feet, resulting in sacks aplenty. That's why Lincoln Tecmo V tourney director Matt Knobbe ranked him seventh among all former Huskers in the classic Nintendo game.
