Beneath her quilts-in-progress are more and more layers of partially made quilts she promises to complete. "I always finish my quilts," said Dittenber.

There is a saying among quilters: the person who has the most fabrics when she dies, wins. While Lincoln's Mary Dittenber plans to live for a long long time, her vast array of quilting fabrics certainly rivals those in more stores.
