A pedestrian crosses Q Street in the falling snow Friday. The Lincoln area received about 3 inches, and more is forecast Saturday, with accumulating snow ending by early Sunday afternoon. Northeast Nebraska is expected to receive the most snow (3-5 inches), with lighter amounts to the south. High temperatures are forecast to be in 20s through Wednesday.

If Lincoln sees moderate snow Tuesday, it will mark the 14th day this winter with at least 1 inch of snow. Since 1948, there have only been four winters with snowfall of that frequency.
