The Manhattan offices of Nebraska Capitol architect Bertram Goodhue, which have been well preserved over the past century, are likely destined for demolition.

Architect Bertram Goodhue spared little expense in designing his firm's offices in 1911.

More than 100 years ago, Bertram Goodhue convinced a builder to let him design a penthouse office for his architectural firm. The Manhattan building is likely destined for demolition.

Bertram Goodhue’s coat of arms decorated the mantle above the fireplace in his office’s grand reception room.

The Nebraska State Capitol was designed by Bertram Goodhue, and the project was completed in 1932. The art and architecture have long been a source of pride.
