A life in prison

David Rice spent 45 years in prison until he died this spring, still proclaiming his innocence. Ed Poindexter is still at the Nebraska State Penitentiary. This March 1979 photo shows them together behind bars.

Omaha Police Officer Larry Minard died when a suitcase containing dynamite exploded in a North Omaha home on Aug. 17, 1970. Officer John Tess was injured in the explosion.
