More than three weeks after four severely malnourished dogs were taken to the Capital Humane Society, deputies uncovered a house filled with more abused animals, leading to the arrest of two Lincoln residents.

Teddy was found in critical condition. He was unable to stand and was immediately taken for emergency veterinary care and hospitalization. Despite every effort to save him, Teddy’s condition was too severe for him to recover, and he had to be humanely euthanized.

Maisie was found in critical condition. She was unable to stand and was immediately taken for emergency veterinary care and hospitalization. Maisie is now eating and walking on her own, but her recovery is far from over.
