Lincoln Pius X student shoots for the moon with essay, earns trip to historic NASA launch

Moon Essay, 6.9

Amanda Gutierrez's unique vision of how astronauts could live on the moon earned the Lincoln Pius X student a trip to NASA’s Orion spacecraft launch as part of the Artemis I mission. Her essay was one of three selected in a nationwide contest. She is seen Wednesday holding a model of a NASA Saturn V rocket, which was used to send astronauts to the moon.
