Pershing Center

Pershing Center has sat vacant for six years. Now the city is trying to sell it and has five proposals for new uses.

MAg Partners, Woodbury Corp. and The Clark Enersen Partners propose razing Pershing Center and building two office buildings on the block. The anchor building on the south end of the block would possibly house state agencies, while the building on the block's northwest corner is designed for mixed use, including commercial office space and the library.

White Lotus Development's plan for redeveloping the Pershing Center block calls for a mixed-use community hub, including a new downtown library.

White Lotus Group and HDR propose a mixed-use community hub for the site it calls Mural, which would combine affordable housing, retail, a wellness center and central library with murals throughout the Pershing Center block.

Dory Inc. envisions building a gated rowhouse community called Lincoln Park on the east half of the block and leaving the west half of the block for development as a downtown library.

Argent Group and DLR Group have proposed a 100,000-square-foot library or educational center that shares an elevated deck with another building that could house services for Southeast Community College or Lincoln Public Schools.
