Roger G. Sharp, 88, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. He was born in Lincoln on September 23, 1930 to Maurice and Esther Sharp. He graduated from Northeast High School and married Peggy Ann Wilson on April 18, 1952. In July of 1952, he went to work for the C.B. and Q Railroad (now BNSF) where he retired after 40 years in the train service.

Nona N. Prockish of Lincoln passed away peacefully on June 4, 2019. She was born Sept. 2, 1932, to George J. and Elizabeth (Bremer) Fritz in Talmage, NE. She married the love of her life, Thomas L Prockish, in 1956. Nona was devoted to her family and the church. She was steadfast in the support of her husband. As the wife of an Air Force veteran, she helped her family successfully transition to military bases in England, Texas and New York, before returning with her family to her beloved Nebraska. While her love and loyalty to family and church were of utmost importance to her, so too was how well the Huskers were performing on the field and on the court.

Larry Swanson, 68, passed away peacefully at his home in Missoula, Mont., on Monday, April 8, 2019. He was born on July 28, 1950, in Hebron, as the son of Patricia (Mileger) and Robert Swanson. Larry grew up in the small farming community of Edgar where he worked on his family farm and always had a love for farm life. He attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and earned a Ph.D. in economics in 1980. He married his wife Pam (Kluver), the love of his life, that same year. Pam and Larry had two sons, Spencer, born February 1981, and Dustin, born March 1984. During this time Larry worked at UNL as the director of the Great Plains Policy Center for Great Plains Studies, while also handling consulting work based in Washington, D.C.

Marvin W. Schulz, age 95, of Seward, born Feb. 3, 1924, passed away June 6, 2019. Marvin was baptized in 1924 and confirmed in 1938 at Zion Lutheran Church in Garland. On May 28, 1944, Marvin was united in marriage to Olinda Louise Warnsholz. He was drafted into the United States Army on September 12, 1945 and was honorably discharged on October 14, 1946. Upon his return to Seward County, Marvin and Olinda began their farming operation west of Seward. Marvin was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Staplehurst, lifetime member of the Seward V.F.W. Post #4755 and the Utica American Legion Post #49.

Nona N. Prockish of Lincoln passed away peacefully on June 4, 2019. She was born Sept. 2, 1932, to George J. and Elizabeth (Bremer) Fritz in Talmage, NE. She married the love of her life, Thomas L Prockish, in 1956. Nona was devoted to her family and the church. She was steadfast in the support of her husband. As the wife of an Air Force veteran, she helped her family successfully transition to military bases in England, Texas and New York, before returning with her family to her beloved Nebraska. Larry Swanson, 68, passed away peacefully at his home in Missoula, Mont., on Monday, April 8, 2019. He was born on July 28, 1950, in Hebron, as the son of Patricia (Mileger) and Robert Swanson. Larry grew up in the small farming community of Edgar where he worked on his family farm and always had a love for farm life. He attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and earned a Ph.D. in economics in 1980. He married his wife Pam (Kluver), the love of his life, that same year. Pam and Larry had two sons, Spencer, born February 1981, and Dustin, born March 1984. During this time Larry worked at UNL as the director of the Great Plains Policy Center for Great Plains Studies, while also handling consulting work based in Washington, D.C.

Born in Cheyenne, WY and moving to northern Colorado in 8th grade, Fredrick helped out on the ranch growing up. Fredrick graduated from Campion Academy in Loveland, CO in 1948, going on to Union College and graduating in 1952 with a music degree. Fredrick went on to receive his master's degree from the University of Northern Colorado in music. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1954 after serving for 2 years.

Marvin W. Schulz, age 95, of Seward, born Feb. 3, 1924, passed away June 6, 2019. Marvin was baptized in 1924 and confirmed in 1938 at Zion Lutheran Church in Garland. On May 28, 1944, Marvin was united in marriage to Olinda Louise Warnsholz. He was drafted into the United States Army on September 12, 1945 and was honorably discharged on October 14, 1946. Upon his return to Seward County, Marvin and Olinda began their farming operation west of Seward. Marvin was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Staplehurst, lifetime member of the Seward V.F.W. Post #4755 and the Utica American Legion Post #49.
