The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska donated a bench in Loofe’s honor following her tragic death. The bench sits alongside the Elkhorn River in Neligh’s Riverside Park.

The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska donated a bench in Loofe’s honor following her tragic death. The bench sits alongside the Elkhorn River in Neligh’s Riverside Park.

Sydney Loofe, her sister, MacKenzie, and brother, Levi, play in leaves. The trio enjoyed sports and being outdoors while growing up in Arcadia and Neligh.

Sydney Loofe raised her cat, Mimzy, from a kitten.

Informational placards, such as this one in a central Neligh yard, dotted the town even as friends, family and supporters gathered for Sydney Loofe's memorial service.
