WAYNE — Throughout the 43rd-Annual John G. Neihardt Spring Conference, celebrating Nebraska's first poet laureate, the idea of the "illumination of life" came up repeatedly. During the morning stretch of the event, a presenter showed a clip of the Wayne State alum referring to literature as just such an illuminator.
