Alta Carlisle Mullins, 88, of Tampa, Fla., passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026.
Born November 18, 1937, in Lincoln, Neb., Alta was the daughter of William P. Carlisle and Emma K. Schroeder. She earned her bachelor's degree and built a career with the United States Postal Service, where she served as a training instructor, inspiring many around the way.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Mullins and daughter-in-law, Kym Hatten Mullins; as well as her loving nephews, nieces, and great nieces.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St., Lincoln, Nebraska 68512. A funeral service celebrating Alta's life will immediately follow at 12 p.m. A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. at the Malcolm Cemetery, 9845 W. Bluff Rd., Malcolm, Nebraska 68402.
