Ruby Augustine
December 12, 1919 - October 14, 2026
Ruby Damrow Lehmann Augustine was born in Beatrice, Neb., to Thomas and Marie (Kechley) Damrow. In 1937, she graduated from Beatrice High School and married Walter E. Lehmann on June 30, 1940 in Beatrice. The couple lived first in Beatrice, then in Kearney, Neb., and finally in Grand Island, Neb., where Walter died September 16, 1969. In 1979 Ruby married Web Augustine in Grand Island. After Web died in 1997 Ruby moved to Lincoln to be closer to family.
She is survived by sons, Warren (Mary) Lehmann of Las Vegas, Nev., and Bruce (Jane) Lehmann of Lincoln, Neb.; grandchildren, Tom (Judy) Lehmann of Las Vegas, Nev., Greg (Cristin Clark) Lehmann of Mechanicville, N.Y., Kelli Lehmann of Lincoln, Neb., Brian Lehmann of Lincoln; great-grandson, Michael Lehmann of Mechanicville, N.Y.; sisters, Kathryn Overbeck of Kalispell, Mont., and Marjorie Epp of Beatrice, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at First Lutheran Church, 1551 S 70th, Lincoln, NE. Burial will be in Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for future designation.
