Louis Maring of Merna shows off the state-record paddlefish he caught on Oct. 6, 2011, from the tailwaters of the Gavins Point Dam. The fish weighed 107 pounds, 12 ounces, shattering the 1998 record of 93 pounds. In 2015, an even bigger paddlefish has been caught.
