These Super-State players made a habit of rising when the stakes were highest, shining under the brightest lights all season long. From buzzer-beaters to title runs, they turned pressure into performance. Fittingly, they take center stage one last time.

𝙐𝙕𝙕𝙄𝘼𝙃 𝙎𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍𝙎 | 𝙇𝙄𝙉𝘾𝙊𝙇𝙉 𝙎𝙊𝙐𝙏𝙃𝙒𝙀𝙎𝙏

5-10 | Sr. | PPG: 23.3 | RPG: 3.9

College: Undecided

Electric with the basketball in his hands, Sanders consistently dominated opponents by attacking the rim and leading fast breaks. The leading scorer in Class A poured in 23.3 points per game while shooting 59% from the field alongside improvements from 3-point range. Sanders led Southwest to the school’s first state title in March and ends his career as the program’s all-time leading scorer (1,270 points).

They said it: “I always felt like I could do it every night on the court, so that role was really good for me that my teammates trusted me to go get buckets when I can.”

Biggest stage for a game: Heartland Athletic Conference Tournament championship game.

Biggest shot made: Clutch 3-pointer to help rally past Omaha Westside in the state semifinals.

Biggest city visited: Dallas.

𝙇𝙀𝙑𝙄 𝙒𝙀𝘽𝘽 | 𝙋𝘼𝙋𝙄𝙊 𝙎𝙊𝙐𝙏𝙃

6-2 | Jr. | PPG: 19.5 | RPG: 5.4

College: Undecided

A tremendous passer and playmaker, Webb took charge of the Papio South offense and led the Titans to another big year. Capable of scoring from the perimeter, mid-range and post equally, Webb attracted plenty of defensive attention while dishing 4.1 assists per game. Only a junior, Webb will return as one of the state’s top players next season.

They said it: “It’s taken a lot of gym time and just knowing that I have to take a big step and using that as motivation every day,” Webb said of his growth. “Now we just need to have the same mindset as last year to get back to the state championship and do whatever that takes.”

Biggest stage for a game: Rivalry games against Papillion-La Vista.

Biggest shot made: Bouncing back from an early lost with a game-winner over Elkhorn North.

Biggest city visited: Houston.

6-0 | Sr. | PPG: 17.3 | RPG: 4.9

College: University of Nebraska-Kearney

An aggressive and veteran guard, Kelley played a part in nearly all of Scottsbluff’s made baskets. The fourth-highest scorer in Class B dished out an impressive 6.1 assists per game, earning a double-double with points and assists twice this year. Kelley also made an impact with his physicality as a rebounder and defender, making him one of the state’s best all-around players.

They said it: "It means a lot that our program and the state is going to remember us and our team, so I think we're just going to pass it on to the guys who are coming up next."

Biggest stage for a game: Crazy comeback against Bennington.

Biggest shot made: Game-tying shot against North Platte as a freshman to send game into overtime.

Biggest city visited: Los Angeles.

𝙎𝘼𝙒𝙔𝙀𝙍 𝙎𝙈𝙄𝙏𝙃 | 𝙊𝙂𝘼𝙇𝙇𝘼𝙇𝘼

6-3 | Sr. | PPG: 21.5 | RPG: 9.6

College: Undecided

You can’t ignore the scoring, because Smith’s mark of 21.5 points per game makes him a standout on his own — but there’s much more to his skillset. Smith stuffed box scores with double-doubles all year long as his team’s leading rebounder and led a high-flying Ogallala offense to countless big wins. The state’s leading assister also dished out 7.7 buckets per game, always ready to set up his teammates or drive the basketball himself.

They said it: "The past four years meant everything to me, playing for Ogallala where I grew up. It didn't work out how we wanted, but I was grateful to play at the state tournament after missing it last year, so it's been super special. It's meant the world to me."

Biggest stage for a game: Facing Scottsbluff as "the best team out west."

Biggest shot made: Clutch shot against Sidney as a sophomore.

Biggest city visited: Houston.

Few players can make an impact like Sanders, who has a knack for making big plays all over the court. His tenacious defense and ability to read passes helped him tally a Class-A best 80 steals, and the fastbreak layups didn’t stop there either. Also one of the state’s top scorers and a 3.7-assist-per-game player, Sanders kept Southwest ticking on its way to a state title.

They said it: “I sometimes play it back,” Sanders said of the memories from winning the state title. “I got over it a little bit, but still looking back, it feels great.”

Biggest stage for a game: Rivalry game against Lincoln Southeast in front of a sellout crowd.

Biggest shot made: Last-second shot against Omaha Westside in last year's district final.

Biggest city visited: Houston.
