When: Thursday through Saturday

First-round sites: Pinnacle Bank Arena (Class A and B), Devaney Sports Center (Class C-1 and B), Lincoln Southwest (Class C-2 and D-2), Lincoln North Star (Class D-1 and D-2)

Tickets: $7 adults, $5 students

Clear-bag policy: It will be in effect at Devaney Sports Center and PBA.

First-round games to watch

A: No. 1 Millard South vs. No. 3 Lincoln East, 2 p.m., PBA: The Spartans' late-season surge included a close win against Millard South. Both teams like to ratchet up the full-court pressure.

A: No. 4 Lincoln Southwest vs. No. 6 Omaha Westside, 3:45 p.m., PBA: The Silver Hawks rolled at Westside in the regular-season meeting, but the defending state champions have been playing much better since then.

A: No. 5 Lincoln Pius X vs. No. 10 Omaha Benson, 7 p.m., PBA: Quite a contrast in styles with Pius X's size and Benson's quickness and strong guard play.

B: No. 3 Waverly vs. No. 4 Elkhorn, 8:45 p.m, Devaney: It's Round 3 for the Vikings and defending state champion Antlers. They split the two regular-season meetings. Both have what it takes to win three this weekend.

C-1: No. 6 West Point-Beemer vs. No. 5 Lincoln Christian, 9 a.m., Devaney: You've got the tourney veteran on one side (Christian) against the up-and-coming Cadets, who are in state for the first time since 1977. WBP coach Taylor Shepard is a former Lincoln Christian player.

C-2: No. 1 Hastings SC vs. No. 6 Superior, 3:45 p.m., Lincoln Southwest: This could easily be a state championship game, but the draw has the Hawkettes and Wildcats playing right away. St. Cecilia won the regular-season meeting in OT.
