Jessica Shepard isn’t the only sophomore in Class A having an outstanding season. Four others have caught the attention of Division I college coaches, as well.

MADDIE SIMON (Lincoln Pius X), 6-1/Point guard

By the numbers – Averages 17.0 points, 5.2 rebounds per game; shoots 52 percent from the field and 71 percent at the free-throw line.

College interest – Nebraska, Creighton, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Maryland.

KIANNA IBIS (Omaha Benson) 6-0/Forward

By the numbers – Averages 20.2 points, 14.1 rebounds, 5.7 blocked shots and 3.7 steals per game. A second-team all-stater as a freshman.

College interest – Creighton (scholarship offer), South Dakota State, North Dakota State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Northern Iowa.

JAYCEE BRADLEY (Norfolk), 5-9/Shooting guard

By the numbers – Averages 18.1 points, 7.8 rebounds per game. Shoots 44 percent from three-point range and 86 percent at the free-throw line. Sidelined the past three games by an injury.

College interest – Nebraska, Creighton, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota.

JAY BRIDGEMAN (Omaha Westside), 6-1/Forward

By the numbers – Averages 14 points, 7.4 rebounds and two steals per game. Shoots 51 percent from the field.
